Online Business Advisers (Plymouth) - [Closing date - Friday 12 February 2010]

Location:  Plymouth                                   

The Business Link service is independent free and completely impartial. Our advisers work with hundreds of SME businesses to drive up their performance. The service provides invaluable support to people starting running and growing businesses across the South West.

We have several new opportunities, one part time permanent, one fixed term contact for a year and one permanent full time post. We are recruiting for highly motivated business professionals to work as advisers to provide business or skills advice to a wide range of companies and self employed business people.  

As the first point of contact you will play a key role answering general queries as well as providing advice and assistance for more in-depth business issues. Working primarily on the telephone you will need to have the ability to listen, remain impartial and offer outstanding customer service. Dealing with a wide range of businesses at various stages of their development you will need to be able think strategically to assess and diagnose the issues facing businesses and offer appropriate business or skills support. The role will also involve account management to maintain relationships with clients and brokering additional support from both public and private sector organisations where appropriate.   

We would anticipate that all candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a background in running their own business, or working as manager in an SME. As one of our vacancies will be advising businesses on training and skills development a background in working for a training provider would be preferable.
