Committed to the South West

From December 2007 Peninsula Enterprise will deliver the Business Link service in Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly, Devon and Somerset.

Our commitment to the 90,000 businesses eligible for Business Link support in the region is based on the following cornerstones:

• More money will be available for frontline service delivery, realised by efficiencies arising from the merger of existing Business Link operations
• We will be launching a range of new services designed to support small businesses through every point of their life, from pre-start to sale
• The skilled and experienced people currently delivering Business Link services throughout the region will continue to do so wherever possible, ensuring continuity and consistently high service quality
• The creation of 20 new ‘access points’ will ensure that no business is more than 30 miles from a dedicated Business Link adviser
• We will work in partnership with private and public sector organisations to ensure businesses throughout the region always have access to the experience, services and tools they need for improvement and success
• We have a close, positive working relationship with the South West Regional Development Agency and other key stakeholders, including the Business Link operator covering Avon, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. This will ensure ‘joined-up’ service delivery in line with the Government’s strategy for simplifying support for small businesses
